Recruitment of Head, Strategic and Corporate Affairs Department

SBP Banking Services Corporation (SBP BSC) was established in 2001 as a wholly owned subsidiary of State Bank of Pakistan. As an operational arm of State Bank, SBP BSC operates through a network of 16 Field Offices across the country having its Head Office at Karachi. For further details, please visit our website www.sbp.org.pk/sbp_bsc.  SBP BSC is looking for a high caliber and dynamic professional possessing requisite qualification and experience for the position of Head, Strategic and Corporate Affairs Department.

Principal Responsibilities

·        Oversee the organization-wide strategic & business planning affairs including formulation, monitoring and evaluation of strategic plan in consultation with all stakeholders.

·        Supervise the conduct of annual implementation review of strategic plan and finalize progress/status report for consideration of higher management.

·        Monitor progress of developmental projects approved under annual business planning process across SBP BSC and put up periodic status for compliance at competent level.

·        Maintain awareness in the field of business and strategic planning to ensure that the organization continues to implement processes that improve and maximize performance.

·        Act as Secretary to the Board of SBP BSC and various Sub-Committees of the Board, Heads of Departments Forum, Chief Managers Conferences, Strategic Management Conferences and other corporate events.

·        Coordinate with departments/personnel as the case may be for implementation of decisions taken in various meetings and finalize updated status reports for submission to the concerned governing body of the meeting.

·        Prepare drafts on behalf of MD, SBP BSC for correspondence with government authorities, national institutions etc. and communications/speeches at national/international fore.

·        Ensure holding of corporate meetings under proper code of conduct with utmost confidentiality.

·        Exercise overall supervision of departmental affairs and ensure that applicable rules and regulations are followed.

·        Business Process Reengineering drives across the organization in consultation with line departments/offices.

·        Lead implementation of Enterprise Risk Management Framework and ensure its integration with organizational goals.

·        Manage and supervise human and financial resources of the department.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: Masters Degree in Business Administration, Commerce. Economics or Public Administration or a related discipline from HEC recognized University or an equivalent degree from a reputable Foreign University. In case the degree is obtained from a Foreign University, equivalence certificate from Higher Education Commission (NEC) is to be submitted at the time of interview.

Age: Maximum 50 years as on the last date of submission of application to SBP BSC. Age limit will be relaxed by 03 years for candidates from FATA, Northern Areas/Gilgit Baltistan, Balochistan and Azad Kashmir.

Experience: Must have at least 15 years of post-qualification experience out of which 8 years must be in supervisory/middle management position.


·        Must have in-depth knowledge of Code of Corporate Governance.

·        Superior skills in Communication, Coordination, Planning & Organizing and Relationship Building.

·        Highest level of professional integrity and should be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Selection Procedure

Only short-listed candidates will be invited for interview before the Selection Board. Final selection shall be made in order of merit.


The selected candidates will be offered market competitive salary in the salary scale of OG-6, commensurate with the experience and qualification of the candidate along-with 1300 cc car, staff loans and medical facility for self, spouse and dependent children as per Bank's rules.

Place of Posting

The selected candidates will be required to work at Head Office of SBP BSC at Karachi.
