A leading and one of the largest bank of the country with global market prominence, in order to strengthen its LEGAL DIVISION, is inviting applications against the following position from dynamic professionals who are team players, energetic and result-oriented with proven track record and mindset to work in a challenging work environment. The individuals who fulfill the criteria may apply for the following positions:

Litigation Manager

Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Law from a University/Institute recognized by HEC

Age: Up to 50 Years

Experience: Overall 10 years working experience out of which minimum 05 years' experience in handling litigation cases

Place of Posting:  Karachi & Larkana

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Implement the litigation policies/procedures across the assigned region

·         Setting and communicating the general performance and operational targets in relation to litigation portfolio

·         Liaison with the Counsels, attending courts on critical nature of cases, businesses and to manage litigation portfolio with an aim to mitigate legal risks and to provide support to the Legal Counsels for disposal of the cases effectively and efficiently

·         Liaising with counsels who are dealing with cases on behalf of the bank with an objective to ensure that requisite support is provided to them to ensure the compliance towards court procedures and directions

·         Ensure that all litigation related risk management measures are in place

·         Coordinating with concerned business heads/groups to deal with litigation affairs and to advise on day to day proceedings/Legal issues

·         Supervising the regional expenses, Staff and accurate MIS reporting

·         To provide legal advice on day to day legal issues

Securities & Legal Documentation Consultant

Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Law from a University/Institute recognized by HEC

Age: 45 Years and above

Experience: Overall 20 years' working experience, out of which minimum 15 years of Specialized Securities & Legal Documents experience

Place of Posting: Karachi

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Standardizing the required control documents list in different nature of recovery cases

·         Vetting the Security & Property Documents of different nature before case filing

·         Assisting in the induction of Lawyers on bank's panel with expertise in Security and Property Documents

·         Liaising with counsels and CAD department who are dealing with cases on behalf of the bank and give opinion on property and collateral issues

·         Implement the litigation policies/procedures

·         Work closely with CAD to improve documents handling system

Manager Legal Payments & Expense Control

Qualification: ACCA/ICMA/CA from a University/Institute recognized by HEC

Age: Up to 40 Years

Experience: Overall 05 years of experience in handling Accounts &

Payment matters

Place of Posting:  Karachi

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities:

·         To maintain the MIS of the payment terms of Legal Counsels

·         To maintain the payments, record and balances of appointed lawyers in legal cases

·         To proactively liaison with Financial Control Division for the smooth payments and maintain track record

·         Accountability of all Legal Expenses incurred for their accuracy and requirement

·         Staying abreast with the existing market fee trends of advocates based on their experience, location and practice area and suggest viable and efficient payment system

·         Maintaining the MIS of Money in Bank (MIB) and Money in Courts (MIC) data for recovery cases

MIS Officer

Qualification: Graduate with majors in IT/Business/Commerce from a University/Institute recognized by HEC

Age: Up to 40 Years

Experience: Overall 05 years of experience in handling Accounts & Payment matters

Place of Posting: Karachi

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for day-to-day litigation support functional needs of assigned cases, from case information collection, processing and production

·         Populates and works on Legal cases database

·         Assesses Incoming data as to validate accuracy and formatting and generates daily reports

·         Maintains orderly filing and digital recording

·         Closely monitors project/case status and provides routine status reports including task completion reports and data delivery schedules

·         Liaise with concerned business units for their queries related to cases information

Legal Officer

Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Law from a University/Institute recognized by HEC

Age: Up to 40 Years

Experience: Overall 05 years of experience In handling Legal affairs

Place of Posting: Sialkot, Faisalabad & Lahore

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities:

·         To assist Regional Litigation Heads in litigation affairs

·         Attend the courts on regular basis in all critical cases

·         Having close liaison with the counsels and businesses to comply with court orders, issuance of notices, warrant of arrest, publication etc.

·         Provide update information to the Legal department after attending court hearings

·         Having experience to deal with Service related issues

·         Ensure that counsels are appearing in courts and submit report to MIS on regular basis

·         Ensure that businesses are providing requisite support to the counsel

·         Working in close liaison with team and to work as per set out goals, objectives, managing performance, providing formal and informal feedback to maximize overall performance engagement and motivation

Legal Officer - HR

Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Law from a University/Institute recognized by HEC

Age: Up to 40 Years

Experience: Overall 05 years' experience in handling service legal affairs

Place of Posting: Karachi

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Having experience to deal with Service related Issues

·         To assist Regional Litigation Heads in litigation affairs related to HR

·         Attend the courts i.e. Labor Courts, NIRC, Mohtasib etc. on regular basis In all critical HR matters

·         Having close liaison with the counsels and businesses to comply with court orders

·         Provide update information to the Legal department after attending court hearings

·         Ensure that counsels are appearing in courts and submit report to MIS on regular basis

·         Ensure that businesses are providing requisite support to the counsel

·         Working in close liaison with team and to work as per set out goals, objectives, managing performance, providing formal and informal feedback to maximize overall performance engagement and motivation

Litigation Manager

Experience: Minimum 05 years' experience in handling litigation cases

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Implement the centralized legal policy through SOPs across the assigned region

·         Setting and communicating the general performance and operational targets in relation to litigation portfolio

·         Liaison with the Counsels, attending courts on critical nature of cases, businesses and to manage litigation portfolio

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Implement the centralized legal policy through SOPs across the assigned region

·         Be able to provide resourceful legal opinions on specialized nature of HR services related legal matters

·         Setting and communicating the general performance and operational targets in relation to HR litigation portfolio

·         Attending courts i.e. Labor Courts, NIRC, Mohtasib etc. in critical nature of cases

·         Liaison with HR department personnel and to manage HR cases portfolio with an aim to mitigate legal risks - Liaising with counsels to ensure both technical and administrative surveillance of cases

·         Implement the litigation policies/procedures across the region

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities:

·         To assist Executives of Legal division in advisory as well as in litigation affairs

·         Attend the courts on regular basis in all critical cases

·         Having close liaison with the counsels and businesses to comply with court orders, issuance of notices, warrant of arrest, publication etc.

·         Provide update information to the Legal department after attending court hearings

·         Having experience to deal with Service related issues

·         Ensure that counsels are appearing in courts and submit report to MIS on regular basis

·         Ensure that businesses are providing requisite support to the counsel

·         Effective handling of Legal/litigation affairs

Legal Consultant

Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Law from a University/Institute recognized by HEC

Age: Up to 50 Years

Experience: Overall 10 Years of experience, out of which 05 years in legal advisory position Place of Posting: Karachi

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Provide expert legal advice to various business groups on legal issues which includes but are not limited to general banking laws, labour laws and financial industry related issues

·         Collaborate with management to devise efficient strategies to deal with critical banking industry issues on legal points

·         Review, develop and implement legal framework with the application of effective risk management

·         Ensure positive communication and good relationships with internal & external stakeholders,

·         Draft, review and vet agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure that bank may not expose to any legal risks and its rights are well protected

·         Analyze, recommend and implement Centralized Legal policy & procedures framed there under

·         Stay abreast with the legislative developments especially relevant to the banking industry; Experience in dealing with Services related issues etc.

Assessment Test/Interview:

·         Only short-listed applicants meeting the above criteria will be called for an assessment test for officer level positions

·         The candidates qualifying the assessment test will be invited for panel interview

Employment Type:

·         The employment will be on Contractual basis, initially for three years and renewable with mutual consent based on performance. Selected candidates will be offered compensation package and other benefits as per Bank's Policy/rules
