SCREENING MACHINES - AIRPORT

BAGGAGE AND CARGO SCREENING MACHINES AT JINNAH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT KARACHI.

1. Civil Aviation Authority intends to install automated passenger Baggage & Cargo Screening Machines (Explosive Detection Systems) at all its major international airport. In phase-1, the machines are to be installed at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. The facility is being outsourced to private firms of provision of machines on Procure, Operate not Transfer basis. In return CAA will allow the firm to make a nominal charge per kg on the export cargo only. The facility will be offered for a period of 3 years with an option of another 2 years period. All machines have to meet or exceed the standards of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) of the US Department of Homeland Security.
2. Details about the machines and Request for Proposals can be obtained from the address below or CAA's website www.caapakistan.com.pk. The last date for submission of offers is 31st October 2007.
3. CAA reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason and without being liable for any claim/ compensation of any nature whatsoever. Decision of CAA shall be final and shall not be challenged.
