The NGO Resource Centre ( a project of the Aga Khan Foundation - Pakistan) is providing capacity building , research and information dissemination services to the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Based in Karachi, the Centre has been in existence since 1990, its mission is to enhance organizational systems that promote gender - sensitive and participatory approaches to sustainable social and economic development.

To provide a wider range of services and products to CSOs, the Centre is transforming itself to cater to the needs of the rapidly changing Civil Society environment. Besides NGOs and CBOs the Centre intends to work in the future with offer nonprofit entities such as professional and business associations, self-help groups, cooperatives, Local Support Organizations (LSOs), non-profit companies etc. The Centre will continue to work with the public and corporate sectors, academia and media to sensitize them towards social development issues in Pakistan, and loster their greater collaboration with CSOs.

Call for Expression of Interest by Professionals and Organizations for Civil Society Development in Pakistan

In order to help it in developing and delivering its new programme, the Centre is now seeking Expressions of Interest in the development of CSOs in Pakistan.

PROFESSIONALS

Individual with relevant academic and professional background in civil society development can apply to be considered for placement on the Centre's Roster of Experts. Services of these experts will be engaged on need-basis.

ORGANIZATIONS

Any organization currently working for, or having an interest in, the development of civil society in Pakistan can apply to be considered for being a Collaborative Partner of the Centre. Expertise and services of these partners will also be engaged on a need-basis.

This offer is open for civil society and public sector institutions providing capacity and organizational development services academic institutions and think tanks with an interest in civil society , private sector institutions including consultancy firms and any other organizations which have an interest in the Centre's programme.

How to apply?

Interested professionals may apply by providing their latest CV,, giving details of their areas of expertise relevant qualifications and experience, together with a recent passport size photograph.

Interested organizations may apply by providing an organizational profile, giving details  of their areas of expertise , past experience and areas where they seek to collaborative with the Centre. CVs of key personnel should also be provided.

The Centre will short-listed and, if need be, contact some of the applicants to seek additional information before they are placed on its rosters of professionals and collaborative partners. The Centre reserves the right to accept or reject any application.
