Applications Development and Support Team Leader
Eni Pakistan Limited is an oil and gas exploration and
production company. It is part of the Eni S.p.A. and is the operator of the Bhit
and Kadanwari Gas Fields and many other on-shore and off-shore exploration
licences.
We are looking for a self-motivated candidate having
following qualifications and experience to fill the position of Applications
Development and Support Team Leader at our Karachi office reporting to the ICT
Manager.
The Job
To lead and manage a team of system and applications
analysts for coordinating applications development and implementation;
maintaining a portfolio of technical and business applications; managing
licenses, contracts, and budgets; and ensuring support for all applications,
especially G&G and business applications running at Eni Pakistan. The successful
candidate will work with Eni Pakistan staff at all levels, software providers
and counterparts at Eni headquarters for outlining system implementation,
enhancemnet and upgrade requirements; suggesting/recommending improvements to
departmental processes and procedures through technology; and ensuring
successful deployment and change management.
Qualification
- Bachelors / Masters in Computer Science or Computer
Engineering from a reputed university.
- MBA degree from a reputed institution would be an added
advantage.
Skills & Experience
- 8 - 10 years of general IT experience in a reputable
organization.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in a team lead / managerial
capacity preferably in the oil & gas sector.
- Substantial experience with systems implementation and
issues resolution; be able to guide the applications team for the same.
- Awareness of existing and latest technologies & trends
in systems implementation and support.
- Strong background in supporting and managing UNIX based
environments and technical G&G applications would be an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and set
high personal standards.
- Effective project management skills, people skills &
communications skills.
- Be articulate in written and spoken English.
- Be able to travel domestically and internationally
without any restrictions on travel schedule.
