Prequalification of Private Sector Training Institutes / Organizations

The Government of Sindh has launched a major imitative, titled "Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Program" (BBSYDP), for addressing the issues of poverty and unemployment through Human Resources Development in the province. The Program aims to provide opportunities for short-term training and skill development to approximately 100,000 semi-literate and educated unemployed youth in Sindh for a period varying between 1 to 12 months. The Program details, published in all leading newspapers on 21st July, 2008, may be referred.

One of the main objectives of this program is to provide job specific employability . Under this program, Government of Sindh will bear the cost of training and stipend of the trainee while the private sector provides skill development training including provision of syllable according to market needs.

The provincial Coordination Unit (PCU) of BBSYDP invites institutions, organizations and companies working in Sindh in any sector from primary to tertiary activities, such as telecom, textile, pharmaceutical, construction, banking, hotel management, shipping, civil aviation, media, automobile , livestock, general engineering etc, to indicate their interest in providing 1-12 months trainings.

Capabilities with respect to personnel , equipment / machines, and other resources

Financial position All those institutes / companies / organizations that are interested in providing the above trainings can obtain prequalification document, instructions and qualification criteria from the PCU, of BBSYDP, P&D Department, Government of Sindh, free of cost, upon submission of interest on their letterhead, after publication of this EOI on the following addresses by 15th October, 2008 in sealed envelope till 11:00 a.m. Only the pre-qualified institutes / companies / organizations will be issued RFP on 16th October , 2008.
