Job Opportunities -  Combined Cycle Power Point
Uch Power Station is a 586MW CCGT in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. The plant consists of three GE 9E combustion turbine generators in combined cycle and a steam turbine. ESBI Contracting Limited is the Operations and Maintenance contractor at Uch Combined Cycle Power Plant. The company is looking for services of experienced (preferably in engineering departments of combined cycle power plants or large industrial process plants having gas turbine and steam turbine), dynamic and energetic individuals for the following site based positions.

Project Engineer (Permanent Position)

Reporting to Manager Technical Services Department, his main responsibilities include:

• Performing project management of plant betterment projects, from design, specification and selection to installation, testing & commissioning of rotating / stationary equipment, pumps, compressor, tanks & heat exchanger, preparing detailed design and materials / equipment specification phases, tendering and contract preparation activities for the project, close out reporting execution of construction phases, including Quality Control and HSE management with the goal of achieving contract cost and schedule targets, use of Microsoft Project or similar software is must.

Job Specification B.E. (Mechanical) having at least 6 years related experience

Technical Services Engineer (Permanent Position)

Reporting to Manager Technical Services Department, his main responsibilities include:

• Investigation Operation / Maintenance related problems and suggesting viable alternatives to plant equipment or procedures modifications to assure plant safety, efficiency and environmental compliance.
• Monitoring plant thermal performance and suggesting variable means of improving performance; providing engineering expertise in the design, application, operation, inspection and maintenance of rotating equipment, pressure piping and vessels.
• Administrating plant information technology systems and softwares, like CMMS, Safety Work Permit System, and AutoCAD etc.
• Administrating Gas Supply Agreement (GSA) and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), especially with respect to computation of liquidated damages for plant planned, forced outages and discrepancies in dispatch levels.
• Managing storage and retrieval of Engineering Records, Drawings, and Documentation and updating of Design changes to meet insurance audits and site requirements.

Job Specification B.E. (Mechanical/ Electrical / Electronics) having at least 6 years experience as per job description.

IMS Project Administrator (Contract Base Position)

The company is planning to implement an IMS (Integrated Management System) at the power plant to gain certification to ISO 9001:2000 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental) and OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety) standards. In order to prepare for certification, the company offers a position of IMS Project Administrator. This is a contract base position for a period of two (2) years. Eighteen months to certification and six months following certification. Other terms and conditions of the contract would be provided later.

Key Responsibilities

•  Document procedures for the effective operation of the plant in collaboration with Task Team leaders. All documents to be prepared to the requirements of the plant and the standards applicable. Templates will be provided where necessary.
• Update procedures and existing documentation that is out of date or that doesn't represent operations adequately. This will be in consultation with Task Group leaders and the Project Coordinator; Documents will be mainly Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
• Training of task Group leaders to understand the basics of the standards applicable in their operational environment.
• Documents for general use such as high level IMS documents and templates will be published through Share Point (depending on its installation at site) to give all PC users throughout the site easy read only access to controlled IMS documents. This approach will promote involvement, commitment and communication.

Job Specification:

• Certification with Sound knowledge of ISO 9001:2000; ISo 14001:2004; OHSAS 18001:2007 and their implementation.
• At least 7 years related experience of integrated Management Systems (IMS) and its implementation.
• Fluent in English - reading, writing and speaking (Urdu will also be useful although all documents will be in English only).
• Efficient using MS Office and other related toos to prepare IMS documentation.

Assistant C & I Engineer (Permanent Position)

Reporting to the Controls & Instrumentation Engineer, his main responsibilities include:

• Preparation of on-going maintenance work packages using CMMS; Spare parts identification and procurement for stock; maintain communication and networking, software problems and implement preventive measures, programming, point's configuration, modifications, field instrumentation calibrations, day-to-day troubleshooting; planning breakdown. Experience in Max DNA DCS is preferable.
• Ensure to keep the Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine DCS, PLC and MK-V Controls systems running safety and efficiently; interpret I & C winning diagrams, P & ID's ladder logic; serving repair and troubleshooting like transmitters, controllers, switches, transducers, analyzers etc' Other duties as assigned.

Job Specification B.E. (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics) having at last 6 years related experience.
