Field HSE Advisor - OMV

The purpose of this position is to provide expert HSE advise for field operations, develop effective HSE systems, evaluate HSE awareness and equip personnel to integrate HSE tools in their work to ensure healthy, safe and environment friendly operations for all stakeholders. This is a Field based position reporting to Field Manager. The work rotational cycle is 14 days on and 14 days off.

Key Accountabilities:

• Advise Field Management on venture and corporate HSE targets
• Proactively inform relevant functions about risk associated with different jobs
• Maintain and track Incident and Corrective Action Registers
• Analyze incidents including all types of HSEQ non-conformances
• Participate in Field Management Meetings
• Lead / Participate in OMV Pakistan HSEQ audits
• Ensure that the Field Emergency Preparedness and Response System remains intact
• Coordinate external audits (ISO 14001 audit, GHG audit, etc.) of the field and ensure closeout of non-conformances raised
• Participate in training need analysis of field employees and impart HSEQ training
• Advise on implementation of corporate standards and venture procedures in the field
• Advise field functions on continuous improvement of Field HSEQ Systems

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• 4 years on-site experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry in supervisory role of any engineering discipline (production, process, maintenance, engineering services)
• 3 years experience of HSE management in oil & gas or petrochemical industry
• Extensive exposure to industrial environmental pollution and environmental laws
• The position requires a high degree of proficiency in MS Office software, written and spoken English and Urdu
• Strong communication, report writing and negotiation skills
