(MMI) HEALTHCARE IN KARACHI

Memon Medical Institute (MMI), a flagship project of Memon Health and Education Foundation (MHEF) was established to provide high quality affordable and accessible education and healthcare to the community at large without any discrimination.

MMI, a 300- bed secondary and tertiary health care center, will emerge as the largest philanthropic initiative by the Memon Community. The center will have state-of-the art in-patient, diagnostic and IT facilities to cater to the needs of the patients in various specialties.

MMI would commence its operations inshallah by December 2008. It is now hiring the following Team Leaders to plan and ensure smooth initiation of the health care services:

MEDICAL DIRECTOR

The Position will provide a dynamic leadership to MMI, build an institutional framework and spearhead all clinical and administrative activities. The ideal candidate should be a medical graduate with a Post-graduate qualification from a foreign accredited institution. A Masters degree in Healthcare Management would be an ideal combination. The candidate should have at least 10-15 years experience in the similar position.

HEAD OF RADIOLOGY

The head of the Radiology would be leading the clinical and operational areas of the imaging services. The incumbent responsibilities include planning of the start-up phase and ensure its smooth transition to the normal operations. The ideal candidate should be a Post-graduate with specialization in Radiology from a foreign accredited institution and would be well versed with latest research and developments in imaging technologies with 10 years post-qualification experience in a similar position.

HEAD OF PATHOLOGY

The incumbent would be responsible for start-up of all the functions of the clinical laboratory setting high international benchmarks for provision of exemplary services. Prospective candidates should have bachelors in medicine and surgery and a doctoral degree in any sub-specialties of Pathology. The candidate will lead the clinical and operational areas of the laboratory.

HEAD OF PHARMACY

The in-house pharmacy at MMI would cater to the needs of in-patients, out-patient and surrounding areas. The head of Pharmacy would plan the operations including an approved formulary, procurement mechanism, dispensation and availability of drugs to the patients. The ideal candidate would have Master or preferably a Ph.D. in Pharmacy with at least 10 years experience in similar position in a local or foreign institution.
