CERTIFIED EMISSION REDUCTIONS (CERs) UNDER KOYOTO PROTOCOL'S CLEAN DEVELOPMENT MECHANISM (CDM)

INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

Pak-Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO) is operating a 100,000 BPSD petroleum refinery complex and over 2,000 kilometers of cross-country oil pipelines with associated storage and pumping system in Pakistan.

PARCO intends to identify and implement feasible projects for its system that will generate Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) under Koyoto Protocol's Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) program.

Expressions of Interest (EOI) from competent parties are invited to undertake a study for identification of emission leakages/losses and development of projects to eliminate such emission/losses (if any) across PARCO's oil pipelines, oil storage tanks, refinery complex and associated facilities.

Interested parties involved in carbon emission trading under Clean Development Mechanism and having a proven track record of developing CER projects may forward their preliminary expressions of interest for participating in the study and projects development with company profile and a list of similar studies and project development carried out. Association with project funding organizations, if any, may also be indicated.

On receiving the Expressions of Interest, detailed terms of reference shall be sent to the pre-qualified parties for submitting formal proposal.
