TENDER NOTICE

RADIOLOGY EQUIPMENT/INSTRUMENT, TRAINING MODULES, SKELETON TEACHING MODELS AND WASTE DISPOSAL SYSTEM

NO. DUHS/P & D/2008/294

The Director Planning & Development, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Karachi, invitees sealed bids on C&F basis as per given schedule for the purchase of RADIOLOGY EQUIPMENT/INSTRUMENTS TRAINING MODULES SKELETON TEACHING MODULES AND WASTE DISPOSAL SYSTEM from the bidders duly authorized by the manufacturer of the goods.

Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 11:00 a m on 10 April, 2008. The bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' responsible who choose to attend at the address below at 11:30 am  on the same day (in case of any holiday or disturbance, the bids will be opened on the next day of the original scheduled date) Late bids shall be rejected.

TERMS/CONDITIONS

1. Bids shall be accepted under the single stage one envelope procedure defined in the rules 36(a), Public Procurement Rules 2004, issued by Finance Division, Government of Pakistan. Under the said procedure "Each bid shall comprise one single envelope containing separately financial proposal and technical proposal (if any) All bids received shall be opened and evaluated in the manner prescribed in the bidding document".

2. The bidding document may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application and copy of Sales Tax Registration Certificates to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable cash fee i.e. Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only).

3. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of 2% of the total value of bid, in favour of Project Director, Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi in the shape of Demand Draft of Pay Order. The Tender without 2% Bid Security will not be considered and rejected.

4. Interested bidders may obtain further information / clarification from the address given below from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

5. The bidders not registered with Sales Tax and Income Tax Registration authorities will not be considered and their offer will be rejected as non responsive.

6. The Director Planning & Development reserves the right to reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason.

If no responsive bid received within the due date i.e. 10 April, 2008 the bids will be received and opened. Second or third time as per following schedule.
