Automotive Consultant

A leading domestic conglomerate seeks a high caliber consultant from the automobile industry to assist the Organization in expanding its footprint and interests in the sector.

The incumbent will be a part of a strategic team that will spearhead the Organization's horizontal expansion and Greenfield initiatives into the auto sector including commercial vehicle segment of the domestic automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of work:

• Assist and Manage focused industry feasibilities and market research
• Assist the Organization in developing a suitable product mix for the local market
• Market placement and pricing of product portfolio
• Ground & market testing of vehicles
• Assist in developing and implementing distribution strategy for product suite
• Assist in developing and executing an effective and versatile dealership network
• Assist in structuring sales & services networks along with implementation strategies
• Obtain all necessary approvals and licenses from domestic competent authorities
• Establish and streamline product supply lines and inventory management systems
• Assist in establishing and implementing TQM & compliance strategies

Scope can be expanded or reduced based on the candidate's profile, final scope and targets will be pre-established based on mutually agreed terms.

Qualification & Experience:

• Applicant should be MBA in Marketing and/or Masters in Engineering from a renowned institute, technical background is a plus.
• 8-12 year minimum industry experience, preferably wit a prominent automaker, auto vendor or distributor.
• Demonstrated experience in executing scope of work, preferably effective and successful introduction and launch of vehicles.
• Demonstrated knowledge and insight of the domestic commercial vehicle landscape and associated regulatory framework.
• Strong strategic foresight and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and consensus building skill.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Consultant will be hired on a long term (3-4 years) contractual basis with the option of permanent employment in a best-in-class management team at a later stage, on mutually agreed terms.
